These pictures depict two distinct species of mosquitoes: the first images feature Anopheles sp., the mosquitoes responsible for transmitting malaria, while the last images display Aedes sp., which transmit yellow fever. Both species are shown feeding on a donor in the mosquito lab at Swiss TPH.
