During the summer there are several colonies of common terns along the Rhine. I like to go to the river and watch the elegant flyers fishing. They usually hunt by diving steeply into the water from above at high speed or flying along the water surface and then swooping down at the right moment. When the light gets weaker in the evening, I also enjoy photographing the birds with a slow shutter speed, and sometimes this results in beautiful pictures that capture the dynamics of flight in motion blur.
