In April 2004, I traveled through the Kathmandu Valley. I was in Kathmandu, Patan, Bakhtapur, Dakshin Kali, Changu Narayan and other places and experienced the ancient culture and the hospitality of the people of Nepal. When I look at the pictures that were taken with a camera that was technically far worse than today's smartphones, I still have the omnipresent mantra in my ears: Om mani padme hum....
