Brown hares, pheasants and deer are numerous in our area. The populations of brown hares in particular have recovered well here in recent years and hares can be observed all year round. However, it is easiest to photograph them in spring or midsummer, when the fields have been harvested. Pheasants are especially easy to observe in spring during their courtship display. I usually see roe deer on my walks in the woods along the Rhine where also Nutria can be found.
